Update on the closure of Wilfred Laurier University Pool Posted: 20080717 - To: All members Wilfrid Laurier University has publicly announced the closure of its pool as of August 31st, 2008 unless the $1.5 million needed for its stopgap repairs can be raised. Members of the board continue to meet with the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo to discuss solutions and alternative pool time for the club when our 08-09 season begins in September. Along with our practices at the Waterloo Swimplex and Cameron Heights pool, we will have additional hours at Cameron Heights' and Forest Heights' pools. A schedule of team practice times and dates will be finalized and posted on our website at www.kwwaterpolo.com/calendar.html, before we see you all back in September for another exciting season.
