On behalf of Council and the citizens
of City of Waterloo, welcome to the 2006 KW Cadet Classic, hosted by the KW
Water Polo Club. We are pleased to
welcome the co-ed cadet teams from across Ontario and Quebec who are competing
this weekend at the Wilfrid Laurier University Athletic Complex.
For those of you visiting Waterloo,
check out the interesting shops and restaurants in our UpTown core or enjoy a
visit to the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, the Perimeter Institute, or the
Centre for International Governance Innovation.
In the northeast corner of our City, 500‑acre RIM Park, with 18
outdoor sports fields, a multi‑purpose recreation building, trails,
parkland, golf course, and heritage areas, provides endless opportunities for
Waterloo's recreational needs.
Congratulations to the volunteers who
have worked so hard to ensure the success of this tournament. Thanks to the efforts of Waterloo’s
volunteers, our community is truly a wonderful place in which to live, work,
and play.
Welcome and thank you for
visiting. I wish each of you a wonderful
weekend and successful tournament.
Sincerely

Mayor Herb Epp
